Flores de Luna is original acrylic, luminous painting of the Moon. Viewing the artwork from different angles, you'll see candescent and changing image.
Rhia has seen and photographed a similar scene during a walk with her Border Collie companion called Harvey in early spring. The sky was still relatively bright, and the moon was already shining upon us while the new flowers on the tree were rejoicing the early days of the year.
The painting does have many aspects. It is versatile because, in a different light, you'll see a somewhat different image. For example, the frontal view shows a whitish moon which can have a silverish shimmer, or even - seen from the side - goes into a slight purplish glow.
The same can be said about the sky, which materializes somewhere between light and darker blue shades. Still, viewing the painting from different angles, you'll see it in lustrous bluish-silver, which sometimes changes into very light purplish, shiny blue.
Through its luminosity, you can describe this painting as opalescent.
The high-quality canvas is professionally stretched medium grain linen. It is primed five times, painted with high quality, professional-grade acrylics and varnished three times to protect the artwork.
The painting's sides are painted in white, and you can display the artwork without any frame. It is now ready to hang on a sawtooth hanger fixed to the stretcher bars.
Materials: primed with five coats of gesso primer, linen canvas, gallery-wrapped around the stretcher bars, professional-grade acrylic paints, three coats of gloss, high-quality varnish
Size: 61 x 46 x 1.9 cm
The artwork is not framed but ready to hang (description, see above).
The second and third images show you how this painting might look like while hanging on a wall.
