Peter's Horse from Healaugh, original acrylic painting framed
Pickup currently unavailable
Peter's Horse from Healaugh is an original acrylic painting, painted on paper illustration board; it is framed.
The size of the artwork is 30 x 20 x 0.3 cm. It is mounted in the size of 42 x 33 x 0.5, and it is framed: 46 x 37 x 2 cm. It is a simple matt with a satin finish, black wooden frame. Because the portrait of a horse is well varnished, there is no glass in front of the painting.
My husband Peter visited "his" horse many times, bringing him apples. The horse enjoyed eating apples and expected Peter to deliver this delicacy every morning and evening. At this moment of expectation, Peter has photographed "Cider," as he was calling him, and I have used Peter's photo to paint this graceful animal.
"Cider" lives in Healaugh (pronounce: Helau); this is a small village in the dales of North Yorkshire where we had spent our holiday. Helaugh is close to Reeth, and Reeth is close to Richmond in North Yorkshire.
Materials used: paper illustration board, professional grade acrylic paints, varnish, two mounts of mounting mat, black frame.
Style: realism
