Colored Pencils Landscape, Fantasy Drawing, Artwork Abstract for sale

    £55.00

Coloured Pencils Landscape, Fantasy Drawing is an artwork abstract for sale of an imagined landscape.

Rhia just wanted to create something in between, something fast, without lots of work. A drawing should do, she thought.

Yes, it did, but she did not do it fast! None of her works is done quickly. She is not capable of creating fast. "Fast" is not in her vocabulary.

This drawing took her a whole week to finish, 3-4 hours of thinking "what to draw next," around 25 hours of drawing, - plus lots of thinking about the artwork. In fact, you never stop thinking while working on a new project. After that, it takes you quite a few hours to take pictures, describe your work, and many other things.

But still, the drawing is small! Why did it take her so long to work on it? Because to draw, it is one of the slowest art techniques. When you work with pencils, it takes many, many strokes to cover a sheet of paper, and you also work in many layers of strokes. For example, painting with brushes is faster. Single brush strokes are - mostly - much broader than a pencil stroke. :-)

Materials: professional quality coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, varnish for drawings

    Style: organic abstract

Size: 22.5 x 19.5 x 0.1 cm, the artwork itself is 21.5 x 16.5 cm;  this leads to a white margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat

    The artwork is not framed.

The images show you how the drawing can look in a frame and different settings.
