Abstract British Landscapes V - Original Composition Drawing
Pickup currently unavailable
The Abstract British Landscape V is a semi-abstract landscape, and it is an original composition drawing. You may recognise an open blue sky, a reddish castle ruin in the background, and green hills in the drawing's foreground. Rhia has varnished the artwork a few times with Winsor and Newton specialist fixative for coloured pencils to protect the picture.
She has used vivid and intense colours in the artwork. You'll find a beautiful mix of azurite, lapis lazuli, cobalt and sky blue. The meadows in front of the castle are bright green; she has mixed avocado green with fern, mantis and shamrock greens. The medieval building itself is striking in colours: yellows mixed with reds and atomic tangerines. To make it more delicious, she has added some pumpkin and persimmon too :-)
Rhia has drawn the abstract landscape on a Stonehenge vellum finish, 250 gsm sheet of paper, in the size of 29 x 22 x 0.1 cm (this is the exact dimension of the drawing itself).
The drawing is mounted in a mat of the size 40 x 30 cm; it sells unframed.
Materials used: Stonehenge sheet of paper, professional-grade coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, varnish for drawings by Winsor & Newton
The second photograph shows how this artwork can look in a frame and on a wall.
